Roofing professionals discuss connecting with educators in NRCA’s latest podcast episode

NRCA has released the latest episode of its podcast series, “RoofTalk with NRCA.”

Connecting with local CTE schools can be a great way to find roofing workers. During this episode, “School is in session,” Rebecca Eller-Molitas, NRCA’s director of CTE engagement; Sherri Miles, president of Miles Roofing Inc.; and Tim Stephens, vice president of operations at Architectural Sheet Metal Inc., discuss tips for fostering relationships with local educators. Topics include obstacles to connecting with CTE schools; what educators are looking for from the roofing industry; why contractors are hesitant to reach out to schools; how contractors can start getting involved; the role of SkillsUSA and its impact on the roofing industry; and real-world examples of how CTE programs have affected roofing companies.
